Burn out!
It all flows from within. Everything that I write here just comes from somewhere inside of me and it’s usually pretty easy to get it out. My sincere hope is you enjoy it. But the well of inspiration is not endless and I have my moments when it just runs dry. I think it has to be some sort of mental burnout as I can feel it coming on me and ultimately it ends in a silence. That’s been the case over the past week as I teetered on the edge of this emotional abyss - and then fell into it.
It seems to me that my best writing comes from passion and belief. I really do believe all that I say here and just as in my other platforms, sometimes it can strike a bell with others. However, sometimes I feel an internal silence. Is it writer’s block? I don’t know because I stopped recording my podcasts as well as my Substacks. I think the best people to understand this phenomenon is you! You will “get it” that even those most prolific writer can become quiet, maybe even silent. I know when this is about to happen, there’s no way I can stop it, in fact I think it is pretty healthy embrace the silence. It’s not thatI am ignoring all the political stuff that is taking place, it’s more to do with not having the enthusiasm to cover it. I cease to care. I’ve been like this for years and I just accept it.
I also know the fire and fury will return and all I need do is wait it out.
I do my best to get you all several articles each day which must make this one of the most prolific substacks about! I know some are hot and some are miss but I write each one because I am highly motivated to do so. I hope those who are paid subscribers understand all of this and can I finally ask you to consider becoming a paid subscriber if you haven’t already done so!

Total empathy from me David, I too have lately been feeling fatigued by the ravaged political landscape and continual decline of The UK and the West in general, take some time out and focus on the most important things in this short life, family, friends and your personal health,
Best Wishes.
Take as much time off as you like David. I know you put out a lot of content. I know how you feel. I get tired of hearing about all the doom and gloom it's nice to switch off from it. It gets too much. Enjoy the nice weather with your family. Although it hasn't been so nice here where I live this past week. So much for the heatwave.
