We all understand what “decolonisation” is code for - removing outward and visible representation of white cultural achievement and it’s terribly popular amongst left-wing/woke adminstrations. Take the Welsh Government, please.
Welsh public bodies could remove 'highly contentious' art from view if it 'insults or hurts' members of the public under new anti-racism guidance. The Labour-run (sic) Welsh Government have finalised guidelines which instructs public bodies on how to ensure statues, plaques and paintings project the 'right historic narrative'. The guidance, titled Public commemoration in Wales, states art in public spaces should 'celebrate the achievements of our diverse society'. Public bodies, which include local authorities, town councils and the National Museum of Wales, are being urged to ensure pieces in public view will not 'insult or hurt' and project 'present values'.
OK, here is a simply truth. Wales is 93.8% White, 2.9% Asian and 0.9% Black. So the only place “ethnic diversity” really exists is on the grievance list of a bunch of woke activists. However they are the ones calling the shots in this Labour Welsh Government.
Consider just how ludicrous this new guidance is and how open to manipulation. Of course that is by intent - thes neo-Puritans know exactly what they are doing. All of a sudden, any statue, plaque or painting could be viewed any any wet snowflake as “insulting” and a process initiated that could lead to its removal. Nothing is safe from these culture warriors. And the idea that public spaces must “celebrate diverse achievements” is literally insane in a country that it +93% White. Also, who gets to define what is “hurtful” or what is “present values”? What exactly is the “right historical narrative”? The answer is that these purple haired nose ring wearing gender unsure cultural nihilists who don’t give a toss about real culture or lasting achievement. Wales gives us a taste of what lies in store when Keir Starmer and his goon squad seize power latet this year. Adopt the brace position.
