It’s NOT such a great day for Nigel Farage, if we are to believe press reports that suggest billionaire X owner Elon Musk is unlikely to follow through with a rumoured $100 million donation to Reform UK after a major row with its leader.
He and Farage clashed earlier this month over the South Africa-born businessman's support for jailed journalist Tommy Robinson.
Subsequent to this, Farage has implied that it was just a bit of a misunderstanding and that he would put Elon Musk straight. That didn’t work out but all the time there was the nagging question in the background - what does US President Donald Trump think, where does he stand?
Well, now we have a clue. Farage likes to present himself as a long term friend of Donald Trump and on the “inside track with the President” but just how true is that?
A senior campaign aide to the President last night said Trump had sided with Mr Musk over his support for Tommy Robinson.
Bryan Lanza said:
'What I've learnt over the years with President Trump is that he puts a lot of weight in people who've created things, disruptive people who've created things…he's going to listen to what Elon has to say in these things, and it's going to have an impact. 'It's going to matter. I mean, Nigel Farage is a much smaller person today in Donald Trump's eyes than he was two weeks ago as a result of Elon's tweet and engagement on this issue.'
Is this true? Is Bryan Lanza right? Why would he lie? Has Nigel Farage’s refusal to be even vaguely supportive of Tommy Robinson cost him £79m and the loss of the support of Trump? How does Elon Musk feel about Farage now? What might this mean for Reform?
Nigel Farage appeared in a TV interview yesterday in which he made it clear that Reform is pro-migration.
Those who see Farage as “the British Trump” are sadly mistaken.

I think you are right. Tommy did not want to join Reform. Nigel could have been less derogatory about him. It's a bit sad cos he seems to be courting all the usual mainstream folk we have turned against. We need a disruptor.
Tommy Robinson is a Hero to all those hundreds of thousands of under age girls andthat got raped and groomed by the Pakistani Muslim Grooming Gangs Tony Blair and Uk Government tried every thing to brush them under the carpet So because Tommy exposed the cover up 15 years ago he is a thorn in the Uk Governments side Nigel Farage is terrified as when he was running UKIP party members wanted this to be exposed and these criminals brought to Justice but Farage ran a mile because UKGov Media demonised these people to shut them up The Media are also traitors
