“One of the things I love about the English language is its versatility. A common observation from other Europeans is the sheer volume of words English has adopted to describe a particular thing. That’s why luminaries in the creative writing field like Steven Frank, author of The Pen Commandments, estimates that English has around 500,000 words, compared to German’s 135,000 and French’s fewer than 100,000. It is also a highly adaptable language. Words invented almost off the cuff, like Shrinkflation and Flexitarian, are now formally recognised as words in the OED.
In that spirit, I would like to leave to mankind an invented word of my own: Enshitment. I would hope a future OED publication would give me the necessary etymological credence for the following entry:
Enshitment – The gradual decline, decay and ghettoisation of a formerly advanced society due to the deliberate mass importation of incompatible cultures whose primeval habits are jealously defended by the State.
Yes, I think I’d be happy with that little addition to everyday lingo as my legacy.
Let’s be honest here, is anyone with a functioning brain cell still in denial about what we observe and hear about on a daily basis? I think my very first introduction to ‘Enshitment’ came about 2014. I’d planned a picnic for some of my disabled clients at the supported living home I was then working in. I opted for a lovely riparian spot called Sandholme, next to Bolton Abbey in North Yorkshire. Upon arrival, I was astonished to see the entirety of the location had been swamped by folk in Pakistani dress, sat cross-legged on the grass in tight-knit groups. The nearby Cavendish Pavilion cafe was almost deserted, as the staff there specialise in things like a full English breakfast, sausage and mash, and jacket potatoes with various fillings; not the orange-coloured, halal-compliant slop these jokers were busily tucking into with all the grace of pigs at the trough. It was back then I first realised there was no escape from the multicultural Zombie Apocalypse nightmare. Before that day, I had naively assumed that the pain of having to endure a period of Bradford burkas, mosques and a plethora of ‘chicken wing’ take-aways with dubious hygiene ratings, could be cured by the analgesic of an escape to the English countryside. How wrong I was! Many of the usual visitors must have experienced the same depressing realisation, as they promptly started migrating further up the Wharfe to Barden Tower and Appletreewick for their riverside picnics and entertainment. Thankfully, Bolton Abbey appears to have returned to its previous status and condition. Whether the rest of the country can do the same is doubtful.
It seems the rebirth for Dovedale Stepping Stones in the Peak District may be longer in coming. A place I’ve been to many times (though not for a decade or more now) looks to have succumbed to the misery of the ‘diversity is our strength’ mantra (https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g499571-d2280149-r957372221-Dovedale-Ashbourne_Derbyshire_England.html#REVIEWS). You don’t have to scroll very far to see references to ‘prayer mats’, ‘headscarves’ and ‘rubbish everywhere‘, which means it’s easy to conclude these aren’t families with surnames like ‘Williams’, ‘Jones’ and‘Brown’. What will visitors to Dovedale see next year, when God knows how many more will have been allowed to come, settle and reproduce here? An Afghani imam posing for a wedding photo on the stones with his child bride, perhaps? Or what about piles of eviscerated sheep, stolen en route to provide meat for a lamb curry on a makeshift barbecue? The possibilities of ‘enshitment’ are endless!
They came, saw and conquered many of our cities; and now, with the open connivance of the same politicians too many British people are still stupid enough to vote for, they’re coming for our countryside, also. What were once pristine and quintessentially English landscapes worthy of Constable’s paintbrush are now progressively being commandeered by Third Worlders and their descendants, who have about as much love and respect for this country as I have for Gerry Adams. I don’t give a damn whether they’re here legally or not. Cultural incompatibility is cultural incompatibility. They’ve already ruined Crowborough! Where else are they going to destroy? Piddington (https://www.gbnews.com/news/piddington-asylum-accommodation-anthem-referendum)? How about Linton-on-Ouse (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/clyqd93j0jgo)? I drove through the latter only last month, and was staggered to see the number of houses already up for sale in what should be an unspoilt English hamlet. This sociological experiment, coupled with a government propaganda pile-on that would make the pioneers of Project MKUltra blush, is like an art saboeur dipping a quill feather into a bucket of horse piss, flicking the drops all over the Mona Lisa, and then standing back grinning as the acid slowly eats away at the irreplaceable canvas. The hard Left may be beyond psychological salvation, but they’re not stupid! Such is their hatred for the the country they govern, they’re prepared to deliberately change it beyond all recognition for their onanistic sensation of ‘global brotherhood and oneness’.
As for institutions like the National Trust, which owns Dovedale Stepping Stones, forget it. This is the same organisation that’s been trying to ‘decolonise’ its collection for the better part of a decade. Not only must members be charged a ridiculous annual levy to claim the prestige of a membership card, they must do so in order to be brainwashed into believing their own country’s history is one uninterrupted journey of moral turpitude. It honestly wouldn’t surprise me if I went there next year and saw the NT installing squat toilets and building a branch of Archie’s halal burger restaurant. Those at the top in this country are so far gone, a root-and-branch overhaul of the entire system cannot come soon enough.
Finally, I couldn’t end this piece without bringing your attention to the government’s pledge for every police force in England and Wales to have dedicated rape and sexual offence teams two years earlier than planned (https://www.gov.uk/government/news/pm-accelerates-roll-out-of-police-rape-and-sexual-offence-teams). What possible reason could there be for this, Mr Burnham? I’m sure the arriving goat herders from the Khyber Pass will pay about as much attention to these as they will to the ‘Don’t Rape Our Girls’ leaflets you’re currently publishing. ‘Enshitment’ indeed!!

Whilst I haven't seen anything quite to the extent Andy describes here (and I don't disbelieve him), I have noticed a gradual change over the last few years. I live in a town with little "cultural enrichment" currently, but the local park has seen far more of the enrichers over this summer. In itself, that isn't a problem, but there has been a corresponding lack of respect for the place, with damage to trees, barbecues on dry grass, and litter left behind.
My daughter and her family live in Harpenden, Herts. I dog-sit whilst they holiday each year. The beautiful park just down the road gets completely taken over each evening as the Paki's pour in from Luton. I counted in excess of fifty last week. I was the only white person in the park. Chatting to a local, she told me that none of the locals go to the park in the evenings. She also said they park their cars in her road blocking the entrances to people's driveways. A dirty nappy and a pair of underpants had been left on the pavement outside her house. Posters printed by a resident and put up asking them not to block driveways had been ripped down and screwed up in the road. For all our sakes VOTE REFORMUK
