Escaping the matrix...

In summary, it’s unhealthy for any of us to spend too much time scrolling on our phones into the world of social media. It’s NOT the real world, even though sometimes it reflects the real world. Other times, it reflects a land of delusions and half truths at best.

One of the things that makes me sad is when people I listen to fall into this on-line swamp and one of them is Tucker Carlson. I have listened to Tucker for a long time, even during his time at Fox News. He then struck out on his own and had developed his Podcast, The Tucker Carlson Show. It’s one of the few that I listen to but no longer.

Why? He’s unlistenable. Tucker has fallen into the world where the Jews are to blame for everything, where Israel controls America, where Hamas aren’t terrorists and where every other half-assed conspiracy theory gets treated as fact. It’s sad to witness and it is telling that President Trump has also seen the slide. During an interview on ABC News he said.

"Tucker has lost his way. I knew that a long time ago, and he’s not MAGA,”

Pretty damning. The sad thing is that I like Tucker but I really don't like what he says. In fact some of those US impersonators do him so well that it’s increasingly hard to tell if it isn’t him! This is the very witty Ami Kozak doing Tucker!

I don’t think Tucker is well and I hope he can regain his balance. Along with Megyn Kelly, he was a voice I listened to closely. Candace Owens is someone I never much bothered about but Tucker is now pretty close to the lunacy that she spews out for clicks and cash.

The bottom line here is that is good to out your phone down and get out into the real world and talk to actual people. Too much time in an algorithm controlled digital hellscape can unbalance the best of us.
