Is anyone really that surprised to discover that the EU hates free speech and those who enable it?
Pavel Durov, the Russian-French billionaire founder and CEO of the Telegram messaging app, was arrested at Bourget airport outside Paris on Saturday evening, TF1 TV and BFM TV said, citing unidentified sources.
Durov was travelling aboard his private jet, TF1 said on its website, adding he had been targeted by an arrest warrant in France as part of a preliminary police investigation. TF1 and BFM both said the investigation was focused on a lack of moderators on Telegram, and that police considered that this situation allowed criminal activity to go on undeterred on the messaging app.
Now please bear in mind that it was just over a month ago that we discovered that that the EU was pushing censorship on X/Twitter.
“The European Commission offered 𝕏 an illegal secret deal: if we quietly censored speech without telling anyone, they would not fine us. The other platforms accepted that deal. 𝕏 did not.”
X and Telegram BOTH provide free speech. I have a Telegram account that I don’t really post much on it but it does seems a very useful platform. X under Musk has also proven to be decent platform and I am happy to use it and enjoy it,
Both Musk and Durov are enemies of the EU regime who want to crush all dissenting voices and so they and their platforms are targeted in this manner. It’s truly shameful and further evidence of the dark tyranny that lies at the heart of the EU.
Yes. The EU is facist. Remember the glory days of the common market and the pivot to a shared currency the Euro. Europa. Such a wonder time when all boats were lifted. And people in some countries increased and maybe even doubled their wealth overnight by leaving their country’s currency behind and adopting the Euro. Was there a masterplan all along? Because the Euro EU thing is now a prison and punishment is being metered out. Hungary. UK post Brexit. Now free speech. I think it’s safe to say that the Eu is a finished and done with thing.
police considered that this situation allowed criminal activity to go on undeterred on the messaging app.....
Probably by French politicians.
