In Trump we trust!

President Trump is unique. He operates in a way that no other US President has ever done, he is bold, quirky, focused, audacious. There are some occasions when I think he gets it wrong but he is mostly proven right. There are things that he says that I find peculiar, such as the push to get Greenland and Canada! It’s hard to know if he serious or mega trolling! But I trust him to get things right and feel we are blessed to have him in the White House.

All of this brings me to my central point - can we trust him over Iran?

In short, YES!

He has been consistent on the singular issue of Iran being prevented from getting nuclear weapons ever since he came down the golden escalator in 2015. There seems to be a split in the MAGA movement over the issue of US involvement in the ongoing war with big personalties like Tucker Carlson and Steve Bannon loudly critical of any direct US engagement. I like and respect their views but on this one they are wrong.

Their view is that MAGA and America First means no more forever wars, and I am very sympathetic to that. My rule of thumb is that if Senator Lindsay Graham is in favour of something, it’s probably best to be against it. Graham seems to want regime change in Iran but is careful to say he trusts the President to make the right call. On this occasion I am inclined to go with even him even if that puts me in warmonger company!

Tucker and Bannon are not more MAGA than Trump because HE is IS MAGA. I don’t want to see the US in any foreign wars and I don’t want to see it engaged in regime change but it all comes down to one thing - trust.

In Trump we trust.
