Ireland goes Eurovision Song Contest psychotic

Did you see that the Irish State Broadcaster, RTE, has threatened to withdraw from the 2026 Eurovision Song contest if Israel takes part?

The Irish broadcaster, RTÉ, has said it will not take part in the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest "if the participation of Israel goes ahead". In a statement, RTÉ said that Ireland's participation in the event "would be unconscionable given the ongoing and appalling loss of lives in Gaza".

Now you might wonder why a TV company is issuing political threats but then you would do well to remember that Ireland is the most anti-Semitic nation in Europe. It is positively festering with Government hatred of Israel and this little reflex by RTE is as pathetic as it ineffective.

Ireland has won the Eurovision Song Contest almost 40 years ago. No wins in this century. So this seems a hollow threat from RTE as I doubt Ireland has anything to offer but let me compare a recent Irish Entry, Bambi Thug, vs a recent Israel entry
