Do you remember that time when Match of the Day football pundit and left wing apologist Gary Lineker declared that he suffered “racist abuse” due to his “darkish skin” throughout childhood and at moments in his professional footballing career. Essentially, he appeared to suggest that he was mistaken for a black person. Now I know that seemed bizarre and even Lineker immediately moved to clarify that he “is as English as they come” which in itself is awkward as that could be construed black people can’t be English. Poor Gary - all that £££ and so little sense.
But it’s not just Gary Lineker who thinks in this odd way, consider Hope not Hate’s Nick Lowles. In a recent documentary Nick Lowles was filmed saying that he didn’t go out in the sun because if he turned darker, he got bullied.
