Yes, Substack like all the other forms of media have become psyops in effect, if not intent. Controlled opposition like the 2 minutes of hate of 1984. However, that which works for you, can be used against you, and vice versa.

Ultimately, that which cannot be sustained will not be.

Most people don't seem to realise and accept that we are at the end phase of western civilisation and quite possibly countries, cultures and nations.

A dying creature desperate to survive even in its final agonies, is at it's most dangerous, even to those who would protect and save it, as per the drowning man scenario.

The end of what we know, isn't the end of all things. Somethings will remain and survive, others won't, yet others will develop over necessity and time. What was is gone, what maybe is yet to be.

Rather than despair, we need to look forward with determination, fortitude and hope to create something better for our descendents out of what was and what may and will be. It is our duty to recognise, plan and prepare for where we are and where we are heading, in order to preserve for future posterity those things which can be saved and preserved, including the knowledge, manner and means of our downfall. So that future generations can learn the hard and harsh lessons and apply them to benefit themselves.

I like that Substack is word based, not graphics based. I like that I can write longer pieces where I can get into more detail. I find I only get into "arguments" when I've made a quick, off the cuff comment.

Problems include authors that I have subscribed to suddenly disappearing off my feed for no apparent reason other than the algorithm promoting other people. The notifications not differentiating between likes and responses so I spend hours trying to find a comment someone has made. Sometimes not beng able to open comments.

And when I try to restack or like controversial things it just won't let me! I've never had a response when I've complained about harrassment.

I'm sorry that your experience on Substack hasn't been more rewarding. I read your articles regularly, although I live in the U.S., so much of what you write about is not applicable to me. However, we do have wokeness and DEI in common, so that's the main reason that I've been following you. I am in total agreement with your viewpoints on Islam, and I've written about that here and other platforms many times. From my POV, Islamophobia is a good thing. It means that you don't want to support a cruel, repressive, inflexible religion and the governments that are controlled by radical Muslims. I still hear people calling the U.S. a melting pot, but Islam is one ingredient that is not palatable in that pot and should not be condoned or tolerated.

I'm writing mainly to let you know why I'm not a paid subscriber. It's purely a matter of finances. I'm retired and living on pension and social security. I have to be selective about my expenses for that reason, so this has nothing to do with not valuing your input. There's also a lot of competition from other Substack writers, but I've pretty much narrowed my subscriptions down to you and a couple of other writers.

If you are experiencing any problems as a writer here because of your viewpoints, I would definitely like to know if you were facing attempts to cancel or silence your work. I'm told that "Substackโ€™s management team, including its co-founders, has explicitly described their personal politics as liberal," so it would not surprise me to hear that you may experience some backlash from these folks if they decide that they want Substack to present a more "unified" point of view.

Having said all of this, if you would accept some donations rather than a subscription, I would be willing to consider that to help in supporting your work. I appreciate your contributions here.

Hi Janet, Thanks for those words and thoughts, most helpful! I must cover more US Stuff here! Rather than subscribe, I can accept support via Buy me a coffee. The link is on davidvance.net

Some weeks ago I was offered to invite friends to a free months subscription to your blog, and I sent these to two friends. Interestingly neither of my friends received the invitation, which is rather odd..

David Vance's avatar

Yeah. I get the feeling Substack doesnโ€™t want me here

Lollypops95's avatar

Well Iโ€™m glad youโ€™re defiant in response, because I love reading you, keep going!

Yes, I recognized some time ago the problem that Substack could very well be just a collection of dhimmi stooges, more afraid of offending a collection of demented deranged demonic arselifters than with telling 'the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth'....'Oh noooo! We mustn't offend their delicate sensibilities', though it's perfectly okay to the manure stream media for demonic hordes to call evil good and good evil, being that seems to be the path that the world is going down today. But as you say, I stay......, though I don't write articles on this platform, but on a much more credible and not-so-pc platform, which I will not name, as I don't want to invite the pretentious hypocritical trolls on over.....And God bless David....keep up the good work!

100%. I believe it is being monitored. In any case it is likely time to find alternatives when technology is being misused so badly.

Though that will soon be changing as the Aquarian age comes in and the ruler of Aquarius Uranus, under which Technogy and Freedom come, delivers their comeuppance and it will be instant! We all have to help it along the way.

Some in their secret societies understand Astrology, but likely don't realise it includes them all as well.
