Last week, I wrote here about the suggestion from low IQ Health Minister Wes Streeting that the Government may offer the unemployed “fat busting” injections to help them get fit again and get back to work!
He has now reinforced on that today by claiming on the BBC that the latest generation of drugs, such as semaglutide or tirzepatide could be “gamechanging” when it came to reversing the trends in obesity. (Wes isn’t too worried about the very worrying side affects of these jabs which I detailed in my article linked above) Curiously, he seems to be implying that the “unemployed” are too fat to work which sounds a tad sizeist!
Let it not be said that our Wes is complacent because he has ALSO now floated the idea that he wants to roll out smartwatches to more members of the public in a bid to tackle debilitating conditions like heart disease and diabetes. The devices would allow people to monitor their blood pressure and glucose levels, and be warned about spikes before their health took a turn for the worse.
I guess the devices would also allow the Government to track the sheep that wear them.
I am not sure which is worse; the dystopian ambitions of Wes Streeting to jab the unemployed and then put a smartwatch on them so they can tracked; OR the enthusiasm from so many of them to participate in such totalitarianism?
He expects his targets will have a "summat for nowt" mentality. Wouldn't surprise me if they're billed for any month they don't get results.
