Kemi Badenoch - Undertaker-in-Chief
It seems to me that the British Conservative Party is over. Not only did it suffer a catastrophic defeat last July in the General Election but this was repeated in the recent Local Council elections. And if it thought that a change of Leader was going to change it’s fortunes, well, look at this.
The Conservatives are now polling BEHIND the LibDems and so are now the fourth party in British Politics and IF this vote share was reflected in future elections, it would be reduced to a few dozen MPs out of a chamber of 650.
Personally, I am glad to see this. I believe the REAL Conservative Party died the day it ousted Lady Thatcher. Say what you will about her but she was an authentic Conservative and they could not stand her so they stabbed her in the back and signed their death warrant. And what was the topic that triggered them into removing Thatcher, yes, the EU.
35 years later, it is an even bigger issue as Labour tears up Brexit and all Badenoch can do is whine that IF she gets into Government then she will undo what Labour has done. I don’ believe her and neither does the British electorate. The Conservatives could have delivered a Brexit red in tooth and claw BUT they didn’t. Boris Johnson gave us a semi-Brexit as best (Northern Ireland was left behind in the Single Market and subject to the ECJ) and then did nothing to consolidate.
Brexit is undone. The Conservatives are undone. If the British people don’t stir themselves from their slumber, they will become Euro-Serfs living in an Islamic land.

That pyre is now burning. And the Conservatives will NEVER be the answer.

I don't believe Reform will undo it either - they haven't said anything concrete about reversing anything. All of them are now part of the uniparty. A real patriot as leader is our only hope.
It is all undone because our constitution needs reforming - the problems we see today are all a result of an ossified constitution that Blair was easily able to corrupt to further his own long-term agenda. It is futile trying to alter course with a broken rudder. Our so called 'constitutional arrangements' date back to the 1689 Bill of Rights and became fossilised roughly a hundred years ago when the world was a very different place and England was a totally different country.
