The Chronology of tyranny
This was the moment five years ago that the then UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced a full National lockdown.
He never did get an Oscar for his B -division Churchill impersonation but it was most definitely a moment in history. This was the biggest power grab in British history as we were INSTRUCTED to stay at home except for essential reasons (e.g., food shopping, medical needs, one daily exercise, or essential work).
Non-essential shops closed, gatherings of more than two people were banned, and the measures become legally enforceable on March 26 via the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) Regulations 2020.
I remember it all well and at the time I initially foolishly went along with it, which was a huge error. The bombardment of propaganda was off the scale and it all seemed a bit worrying!
We were told that this lockdown would last for “three weeks” to “flatten the curve”
I recall starting to dissent by April 4th!
Something was OFF and I saw no reason to conform any longer.
It all got worse.
By April 16th the first lockdown was extended for at least three more weeks, with the UK death toll surpassing 10,000 by mid-April.
The 10,000 number was a complete fabrication although the NHS and Care Homes were very busy Midazolaming our elderly into eternity and claiming it was the “virus that killed them. They needed the deaths to sustain the fear of the sniffles.
The curiosity was that I didn’t know ANYBODY who died. Or was even seriously ill.

By May 10, 2020 Johnson announced an initial easing of restrictions in England, shifting the slogan from "Stay Home" to "Stay Alert."
“People can exercise more than once a day and sunbathe in parks, while those unable to work from home (e.g., construction workers) are encouraged to return to work.”
How very generous of him. Sod off!
By June 1st, schools in England partially reopened for Reception, Year 1, and Year 6 pupils. Outdoor gatherings of up to six people were permitted from June 13 under the ludicrous "support bubble" scheme.
By July 4 we saw a major easing in England—pubs, restaurants, cinemas, and hairdressers reopen with a "one-metre plus" social distancing rule. Most lockdown restrictions lift, though local lockdowns begin in areas like Leicester due to case spikes. (Fake PCR tests)
By September 14, The totalitarian "Rule of Six" was introduced in England, limiting social gatherings to six people indoors and outdoors, following a summer of declining cases and the "Eat Out to Help Out" scheme. Remember that farce?
By October 14, a three-tier system was introduced in England to manage local restrictions (Tier 1: medium, Tier 2: high, Tier 3: very high), with most areas initially in Tier 1.
The second national lockdown began in early November in England, lasting four weeks. Non-essential businesses closed, people could only leave home for specific reasons, and indoor mixing with other households is banned (except for support bubbles). I remember defying them all.
December 2, was the second lockdown end, replaced by a tougher tiered system. Most of England entered Tiers 2 or 3, with stricter hospitality rules.
On December 19, a new Tier 4 was introduced in London and the Southeast due to the fantasy Alpha variant, resembling lockdown conditions.
And so the year of global tyranny ended. The economy was wrecked, Government had seized wartime powers against a non-existent virus, and we saw the face of the beast.
Life would never be the same again.
It changed me. I had been at public protests from the summer on as we demanded our freedom. The Police had visited me as I refused to wear their stupid masks. I was removed from Twitter in September following the Police visit.
From then on, I doubled down on my resistance and found myself in some great new company. I did not submit, I did not comply.

The thing is that I knew people who were seriously ill and one who died, so, yes, I did take it seriously. Why would I believe it to be a scam, if I couldn't get hold of friends for 3 days or so, and, when I did, they said that it was the worst thing that they had suffered and that they had been delirious. I never considered it a scam; I just didn't want to go through what they had been through. This was all before there were vaccines. I think it all depended on one's particular experience.
