In our case it was true. You’ve no idea the lengths my father went to in order to stop the marriage! He wouldn’t speak to us for 28 years and then it was because he needed help.
Had a conversation with my daughter last night on that subject, was saying to her that most of her generation are so self repressed they wouldn't know fun even if it smacked them around the head, she knew exactly what I meant as she said is so boring having to constantly deal with it!
