Net Migration plummets but that's not the real story!
Just take a look at a BBC headline from today that boasts:
“UK net migration plummets 69% to 204,000,” a sharp drop from the 649,000 recorded in the previous year”
Wow - it looks like the Labour Government deserves some credit for getting this huge issue under control. I see the usual pundits patting successive governments on the back, crediting tougher visa rules introduced by the prior Conservative administration and upheld by Labour. But this is far from the true picture, let me explain why
The stats show that immigration remains near record highs at around 900,000, while emigration has surged to 693,000. That’s the killer stat. It signals a disturbing exodus of British citizens from Britain. We are leaving. Let’s examine this in a little detail.
