There two headlines that I saw in the press this morning that were thought provoking.
The first was this;
The Justice Minister Shabana Mahmoud does not deny that a “large” number of those that SHE has ordered released early from prison have gone on to re-offend.
“Mahmood said figures would not yet be available for the number of prisoners who had been returned after the first wave of prison releases in September, but said it was likely they would be high”
So as many as 50% of those that she decided to release early in August September have gone on to re-offend. So what does she do?
Yes, she is releasing a further 1000 of them in the full knowledge that perhaps half of that will commit further custodial crime and end BACK behind bars.
Where is the logic in this?
Well, she does have ONE plan to lower Prison numbers, but’s it is also insane!
Yes, she will just stop sending women to prison even when they commit crime meriting a custodial sentence.
Labour destroy everything that they get their hands on and prisons will be no different. Career criminals must be loving it.
I'm surprised she's being honest about it and not trying to cover it up.
How about just releasing the non-criminals, like Britons who speak their mind on Face Book, or carry placards at protests ?
Criminals serve a very important purpose in a despotic regime.
Their activities support the narrative of the need for more government power and higher taxes.
And, if you need someone murdered ...
who you gonna call ?
