Canada has become a very dark place in recent years and perhaps one of the most outward and visible indications of this sickness is the assisted euthanasia scheme that they introduced some years ago now called M.A.i.D.

The more I read Lewis's warnings about things such as "progressive education" and the Sexual Revolution, the more I'm impressed by how right he was. I'm sure he wouldn't be surprised about these euthanasia measures and the associated activities.
I've also read about elderly people who considered euthanasia just because they didn't want to be a "burden." What a terrible society which encourages vulnerable people to think this way. There used to be the natural way for adults to look after their parents and other elderly, after they had been looked after as children. Not so much today.
Organ harvesting comes up time and time again. The countries that have been purposely destabilised serve as useful places to move ‘livestock’ across borders. NGO & charitable foundation hotspots seem to always be in the same place as these allegations.

There are obviously a lot of conflicts of interest in this area and moral hazards. If you accept the premise of euthanasia (I don't think you do) however it would seem a bit of a waste to not use good organs. Putting the moral considerations to one side I do think there is an argument for taking one's own life under some circumstances (e.g. a terminal, painful and degrading illness with no hope of remission) but I'd much prefer to do that myself ideally with something fairly instantaneous like a 50 cal bullet to the head - the medical terminations seem likely to be rather nasty deaths.
