No sooner has the 2024 UK Uniparty election (yawns) been called than the Royal Family makes the following declaration.
The Royal Family is postponing engagements "which may appear to divert attention or distract from the election campaign", Buckingham Palace has announced.
What does that mean, exactly? Why is there any connection between the activities of the Royals and the UK General Election? It’s not as if King Charles is running for office, right?
Let me venture to suggest one possible reason for the Royals moving so quickly to limit engagements - they can use this period to further defer rising suspicions about Princess Catherine for the next two months. Remember she hasn’t been seen since 25th December and there is a lot of concern amongst well-wishers.
