Reform talks Bull

Well now, the Reform Party has a new Chairman and his name is Dr David Bull.

He has been drafted in to replace Zia Yusuf who dramatically resigned last week only to return a few days later.

Dr Bull is an interesting character with some curious social media posts over the years.

Ok ok, we can ALL change our views, I suppose, although has he repudiated these old opinions? Just as a detail, Dr Bull is gay. That is his business not mine, but those social media posts were placed by him in the public domain. And are problematical.

When Covid arrived, Dr Bull (along with Richard Tice) was to the fore in suggesting that mandatory vaccination may have been required for some.

I can remember back than arguing AGAINST mandator vaccines as an egregious violation of bodily autonomy. Dr Bull evidently didn’t seem to feel the same.

OK OK, David Vance, we hear you, and that’s all very well but it’s 2025 and this is a new David Bull. He’s in touch with Reform voters who want to see migration halted as a minimum, right? Wrong.

What?????

From the 16^th century to the Second World War, very little of Britain’s net increase in population can be attributed to immigration. Virtually all of its increase was a purely natural one. The English of 1927 were more than 90% the descendants of the English of 927 which makes it entirely untrue to talk of a ‘nation of immigrants’.

Does Bull’s denial of this inspire confidence? Or is it just bull?

Final thought, it may not even matter! Zia Yusuf maintains responsibility for policy, fundraising, DOGE, and media. David Bull is being sent out to attend branch dinners and shake hands!
