Given the recent Supreme Court decision clarifying that gender is immutable from birth, the UK Government should now swiftly move to repeal the Gender Recognition Act 2004 which is a law that allows individuals to legally change their gender by obtaining a Gender Recognition Certificate. It was foolishly introduced back in the Tony Blair years to provide trans people (aka mentally confused people) with legal recognition of their acquired gender, aligning their legal status with their gender identity. In other words it institutionalised the impossible.
