A new highly contagious Covid variant could spark a wave of infections this summer, scientists have warned. Dubbed 'Nimbus', the strain is descended from the already super virulent Omicron (Hahaha) and has already triggered a surge in cases in China, Singapore and Hong Kong. Data from the UK Health Security Agency also shows 13 cases of Nimbus, known scientifically as N.B.1.8.1, have already been detected in England.
My god - 13 'cases” you say? Right, that’s me off to the cellar for the next 6 months minimum…you can’t be too careful. Please keep a minimum 1.5m from this article when reading it and stay safe!
