Trump vs Musk - it's gone nuclear!
It is said that if you want a friend in politics, get yourself a dog. As we entered 2025, there seemed no closer allies than Donald Trump and Elon Musk. Musk had swung behind Trump after the attempted assassination last July and they seemed totally aligned. Everything has just changed and it is all down to the so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” (BBB)
This crisis has been building in recent weeks and as you know, Musk’s DOGE was all about cutting Government spending. President Trump seems to have consistently supported this endeavour. Then came the BBB. Musk did not hold back and posted this a few days ago.
And for added measure, he then posted these messages.
When you look at the numbers, it is hard to disagree with Musk. He was clearly disheartened by the BBB and in particular the fact President Trump enthusiastically supported it. But Musk is not a politician and Trump is!
This then happened..
Musk was not going to accept this and so he weighed in on Trump and it all became ….intense.
He is plainly calling Trump a liar and then for added measure, he reminded the world of Trump’s previous stance on this issue.
Boom. Boom. Boom.
The Democrats must be loving it.
As if things could not get worse, they did - with Trump and Musk exchanging some nuclear grade posts.
We then got this from Trump…

Listen, I admire both men and respect the great things they do. This very public row is totally unedifying and I would have preferred had these things been said in private but that boat has sailed.
Politics is a nasty business!
As a final post script, some suggest this might all just be contrived theatre and they will reunite when the Bill becomes law. I doubt it.

I suspect that Musk has looked at just how corrupt the establishment actually is and wants out.

My instinct is to back the Trump horse. He clearly knows who's who and what's what.

Flynn, Stone, Bannon clambering aboard the attack on the bill.
I think they're shadow government players, at this time..
