Good morning from Canada David. In my community I have the good fortune to know many people in the Iranian community. They are extraordinary beautiful and cultured people. It is indeed a tragedy their ongoing history of totalitarian brutality and repression. But. I am aware in conversation that the lranian expats did not appreciate the American bombing effort in 2025 . They apparently did not want or need American intervention. For even having this conversation in a polite social setting , and listening to them, and (my ) just saying that the selective bombing of Teheran, however awful to go through, seemed like a good start on regime change in Iran - well this view got me dropped from the entire group. That evening I removed former friends from my contact list after receiving the clear message that I was ignorant with my western view on a complicated situation that is Iran - yeah man! Sure- where ayatollahs run rampant and dissidents die slow deaths hanging from cranes. And women are shot in their faces. And then in violin recitals I see Protest posters for “Women Life Freedom” hanging from their music stands. Apparently there is a logic problem. Either clean it up or shut up. Honestly. And be thankful that America took you as refugees into their country. And Canada as well. And by all means today - yeah - pivot to the Arab states of your choice - and the Muslim Brotherhood. In any nation state with a problem, the approach you take determines what you get.
