Turning Japanese...
Japan is dying. It’s been dying for a while now and it certainly won’t make the end of this century in a recognisable form.
Why? Well, Japan's total fertility rate was 1.15 in 2024, a record low. This rate, representing the average number of children a woman will have in her lifetime, is significantly below the replacement level of 2.1 children required to maintain population levels. It has an ageing population. It is seriously sandwiched by these factors.
So what is the political solution to this demographic timebomb? Import migrants!
To achieve an annual growth rate of 1.24 percent—the government’s economic growth target—Japan needs 6.74 million foreign workers by 2040, which is almost four times the number it had in 2020.
The influx of immigrants is changing Japan’s demographic makeup. In 2000, immigrants comprised1.34 percent of Japan’s population. As of 2023, there are 3.4 million foreign nationals in Japan, comprising 2.7 percent of the population. Today, in Tokyo, 10 percent of residents in their 20s are foreign-born, and in smaller towns like Shimukappu in the prefecture of Hokkaido, over 15 percent of the population was born abroad.
Well, guess what?
Japan's Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba has announced he is stepping down after less than a year in the role, following two major election losses. The move comes a day before his Liberal Democratic Party was expected to vote on whether to hold an internal leadership vote that could have forced him out.
The LDP has governed Japan for most of the past seven decades, but under Ishiba it lost its majority in the lower house for the first time in 15 years and then lost its majority in the upper house in July.
Japan needs change. Its indigenous population MUST start having children. It must not allow the demographic change that the LDP has initiated. Japan has an ancient unique culture that it must fight to save! It deserves something better than the LDP.

And their solution is to import outsiders.
What could possibly happen?
Makes you wonder if leaders are blind, deaf, dumb, or just going to take what they want and fade away before anyone notices.
Depopulation isn’t a problem it’s a benefit, I’m sure Japan, like most of Europe too, is overcrowded with traffic jams and high rise blocks that will become the criminal base for the future.
We’re all being told that we need to increase GDP, why?
Never forget that what gets measured gets manipulated.
