Why does the UK want a World War?

So UK PM Sir Keir Starmer went to Washington last week to get zombie Joe Biden to agree to allowing Ukraine to launch US and UK long range missiles deep into Russia. The result was…nothing much happened! Why? Have we averted a further descent into the conditions that will provoke a World War? Why is the UK to keen to further provoke Russia? Might the UK be a superpower when it comes to raising tensions and provoking the Russia bear and what, if any, advantage does this bring?
