But mainly it seems to be about the patent inability to control a Muslim uprising. They have a strong sense of "ummah" or supra-national identity; effective organisation; and the support of soft wet indigenous liberals.
This is seen at grassroots level where a police Sergeant going in hard would find his crew surrounded. The same would happen to his Inspector, thanks to WhatsApp jungle drums. And their Chief Constable wouldn't want to be the guy who sparked that national disorder.
Because if that disorder came, it would mean either capitulation, or armoured cars and exemplary justice.
Labour have been feeding the crocodile because it toddled off and voted for them. Expect more frequent visits with an enhanced appetite. Starmer must now be realising that the assimilation model doesn't work, and he is panicking.
