Bottomless Pits and Potholes

...the financial mendacity of the UK Government

I was out driving yesterday and hit a reasonably large pothole at the entrance to a local village. I didn’t spot it until it was too late! Along with millions of other drivers, I fond this a jolting and unwelcome experience. So what does the Government plan to do about it? Well, not a lot if we listen to Rishi Sunak who adds that there is no “Bottomless Pit” of £££’s to fund such necessary and basic road repairs. In essence, Rishi is saying that us drivers are going to have to just take our chances when out driving.

The “bottomless pit” line is interesting, however, as it neatly exposes the colossal hypocrisy of Sunak and co. Just consider what the Government IS able to find vast sums of cash to support.

• The Ukraine proxy war has cost a massive £12 billion to date

• The utterly useless track and trace scheme put in place during Covid has seem £25 billion spent to date

• Remember the PPE £12 billion spent in the first year of the "pandemic" 75% of which was "lost" to inflated prices and kit that did not meet requirements, including £4 billion of PPE not used and set for destruction

• The white elephant of Nightingale hospitals that treated just 272 people cost £532 million

• Ridiculous and unnecessary net zero spending between 2021-22 and forecast for 2024-25 - £25.5 billion

• £1.3 billion per year dealing with illegal immigrants including housing them!

• Over £800m under operation moonshot, on quick turnaround useless  PCR tests that were later found in a pilot to give the wrong results as much as 60% of the time

• Nearly £1 billion on advertising in 3 years to 2022, much relating to communications about "Covid-19"

• The Toxic "Covid vaccine" drive cost £11 billion and counting!

Those HUGE sums were all able to be found with little difficulty. Why? Well, it’s because the Government WANTED to find them. Potholes are different and there is a twist. Potholes drive up the cost of driving and that means that the Government can advance its agenda of taking us all off the road by making it unaffordable.
