I am old enough to remember watching what was for me “the” Eurovision Song Contest final. It took place in Brighton in the UK and the winner was Abba with the wonderful “Waterloo”
It was a GREAT pop song and my introduction the very sexy Agnetha Fältskog, the blonde in the band. Been a fan ever since and I rate ABBA as a truly amazing band with some of the best songs ever written.
However, turns out that “Waterloo” and Abba were an anomaly. The following year it was won by a stupid song called “Ding a Dong” by a Dutch outfit called Teach in. It then proceeded to get worse (with a few exceptions) and I suppose the very worst was last year with the Irish singer Bambi Thug and her occult number “Doomsday Blue”
The lyrics went like this…
“Avada Kedavra, I speak to destroy
The feelings I have, I cannot avoid
Through twisted tongues, a hex deployed on you
That all the pretties in your bed
Escape your hands and make you sad
And all the things you wish you had, you lose..”
It’a a long way from Waterloo, isn't it?
“My, my, At Waterloo, Napoleon did surrender
Oh, yeah And I have met my destiny in quite a similar way
The history book on the shelf Is always repeating itself
Waterloo. I was defeated, you won the war
Waterloo. Promise to love you forevermore”
The innocence of 1974 is unimaginable in 2025. And that’s before we eve get into the politics of this Event, the massive LGBTQ+ Agenda, and the almost incomprehensible voting system.
Will I watch it tonight? Yes. Why? Because it is a total freak show andany musical virtue vanished over 50 years ago. It is now a political agent advocating the very worst societal values with a strong whiff of sulphur about it.

Noooo, you're wrong about the Teach In song - it's my favourite Eurovision winner ever - particularly the terrible rhyme, 'big hit' pronounced 'biggit' to clumsily rhyme with preceding line 😂 Classic Eurovision - catchy tune with cheesy lyrics 👏🏻
Seeing all of the Youtube comments from people praising the song and video is sad and disturbing. Accepting the blatant satanic & pagan symbolism as just "artistic expression" I suppose instead of seeing it for what it is.
