Let’s start in 2019. Back then, I assumed that the NHS was more or less a good thing; that my local GP was interested in my well-being; and yes, that vaccines did a good job. THAT is how uninformed I was back then. I can remember my GP offering me a Flu jab in 2018 and I (foolishly) went along with it. I was sick for a week afterwards. Along came Covid and like many others, I woke up.
I recall in March 2020 thinking it was very strange how you could have Covid and have no symptoms and feel perfectly fine. Made no sense. Yet the NHS, the GPs and all the “experts”explained this was the case. In retrospect, I think that they seriously overplayed their hand and forced people like me down the rabbit hole. The many rabbit holes. And we never came back to them.
One of the first rabbit holes I went down was that of Germ theory vs Terrain Theory. I am sure you understand the difference between these.
‘Germ theory” suggests that germs are what we need to worry about and we need to keep finding ways to kill them off. Whereas “terrain theory” argues that if the body is well and balanced, then germs that are a natural part of life and the environment will be dealt with by the body without causing sickness.”
In 2019 I was absolutely in the Germ Theory corner. By 2021 I had tentatively moved to the Terrain theory camp. My health has never been better and I am no longer fearful of “catching” diseases.
“Germs seek their natural habitat – diseased tissue – rather than being the cause of diseased tissue.”- Antoine Béchamp
These days I focus on eating healthy foods, staying away from processed garbage, I exercise and eat clean. I have a positive mind set and despite the fact I am getting older very little troubles me. I certainly do not believe in these little floating “germs” that pass from human to human. I believe Big Pharma has created these fictions in order to conjure up a multi-$$$ billion Industry to keep us hooked on drugs.
One of the many voices I listen to is Dr Sam Bailey, a New Zealand doctor who along with her husband Mark, has been a great advocate for Terrain theory. The more I reason this issue the more I believe that terrain theory is liberating and works for me. I wonder where you stand on this one?
I think the heavy use of sugar in much of the foods pushed in our stores and eateries has much to do with ill health. The refined sugar feeds most of the world's ills I think..
I suspect it's 99 percent terrain and maybe 1 percent germ. The only reason I give germ anything above 0 is that apparently that are extremely lethal "germs". However, I wonder even for those if the terrain is healthy, what would those lethal germs do, would they kill the person anyway?
There are several examples of how terrain is more important than germ. The obvious is that you expose 20 people to the same "germ", they don't all get sick! Another example is to take a piece of cooked meat, put it in a bowl, and leave it exposed to the air for a week. Do the same with bottled grape juice. Then look at the "germs" in each. They will be completely different even though they were both exposed to the same germs from the air.
But maybe the most important is that we live in a literal ocean of "germs". A normal human body houses 3 trillion bacteria and 30 trillion viruses! We have evolved thru millions of years living within this ocean of bacteria, viruses, and fungi.
