The problem with the NHS is it run by consultants who just want to make as much money as possible. Yes there are great and selfless consultants out there but many if not most are only interested in the LSD - £'s, shillings and pence. Until we increase the number of consultants so there is no private work for most in the NHS we are always going to get senior clinicians advising on what is best for them, not what is best for us.
You need to look at this guy, father of 600 kids including comedian Simon Evans.
