Interestingly I was viewing and looking to buy a property in Lynmouth back in August of this year. This disaster happened the year before I was born and so had no knowledge of it. However my wife found lots of articles about the disaster online and refused to consider the location. I saw the articles about the RAF and operation cumulus even back then and the penny dropped! Yes there were problems with the valley and river not being sufficiently dredged and maintained but it still took an extraordinary amount of water falling from the sky in a very short space of time to create the horror. Knowing now what governments are openly admitting such as in Dubai , I have now joined the dots and made the obvious connection.
