Let me introduce you all to the new Mayor of Londonderry/Derry! Her name is Councillor Lilian Seenoi Barr. She is an SDLP Councillor and with Sinn Fein backing, she is now set to represent the Maiden City as Mayor. Here’s a little background. She fled Kenya to seek “sanctuary” in the UK. She has family still living in Kenya. There is no war going on in Kenya so I am unsure why she felt the need to come to the UK.
