I was saddened but not that surprised to see that Japan’s demographic crisis has hit a horrifying new low, with its 2024 total fertility rate (TFR) plummeting to a record 1.20, down from 1.26 the previous year.
Thing is, if it weren't for third world immigration, the pressures which stop young people having children - the tax burden, depressed wages, expensive housing - would be eased. Even in Japan, there is eventually going to be an equilibrium between population size and wealth. If young people are supporting a huge population of the economically inactive (old people rather than third worlders in their case) it's not surprising that they can't afford children. To be brutal, once the country becomes depopulated as old people die off, it must be common sense that there will be more to go around for younger people and they will be able to afford families again.

Very true!
Also, with the vast majority of immigration being men, the balance of makes to females is ever more skewed. There won't be enough women to give birth.
