Let me be frank. I absolutely objected to the Ukraine Family Scheme that allowed vast numbers of Ukrainians to come to the UK “to escape war”. I don’t see why they could not have stayed on in Ukraine and fought for the country they tell us that they love. There are swathes of Ukraine untouched by the war so there was no need to bring any of them over here. It looks like well over 200,000 of them came here adding even greater pressure on our public services and at our expense.
All of which brings me to Gaza.
Last month, 67 MPs and Lords, including 35 Labour MPs, urged Prime Minister Keir Starmer to establish a Ukraine-style visa scheme for Gazans, citing the humanitarian crisis and the (imagined) UK’s historical responsibility toward Palestinians. The letter, organised by Labour MP Marsha de Cordova and the Gaza Families Reunited campaign, argued that such a scheme would help a small number of Palestinians reunite with family in the UK - until it is safe to return to Gaza..
No. Not ONE of them should be allowed here and in fact I would argue we should be looking to deport those family members already here BACK to Gaza. Gazans tend to support Hamas, a genocidal terrorist group, and we can’t take the risk of allowing them into the UK. Not only might some of them *support* Hamas terrorists, but some of them *might* actually be Hamas terrorists and we cannot take the risk.
Gazans belong in Gaza and I fell zero responsibility for them. I happen to think they have brought their plight upon themselves but whatever way you look at it, it’s just not our concern here in the UK. If woke leftists care so much, let them GO to Gaza and share thAT experience without exposing the rest of us to the tender mercies of Hamas and their supporters.
No Gazans wanted.
I agree David, it’s open time for terrorists and those that are here have shown themselves to be destructive in their peaceful protests. It’s a massive no to me and for further more in our classrooms these children of Palestinian origin will have zero regard for our little girls in that they will consider them as underlings. NO, No, No
I fully agree with you David 👍 100%
