It's an abhorrent, repressive shroud of the living dead. It is not a piece of clothing, it's a social prison meant to remove women's rights to the most basic freedom: to be seen and converse with other human beings.

Take this scenario. Imagine that the burqa had never been invented. And in 2025 a group of white men started to demand that their wives be covered from head to foot in a sack, and be robbed of their dignity and individuality. How would that go down within British society?

Yes, it certainly should be banned. The only reason it hasn't is that our politicians are scared stiff of offending Islam, and telling the truth about the many negative aspects that that religion embraces.

God made us in his image. The human face was not meant to be covered. To do so is an abomination. To culturally impose it on women is misogynistic, cruel and depraved. Shame on anyone who excuses such a vile practice.

There’s a lot arrogance behind those veils. Men often aren’t the oppressors forcing their women into them. The women are brainwashed into believing that it is a statement of modesty and are very proud of themselves.

Women not wearing one are upbraided with, “Who are you after? Who are you trying to seduce?”. The women are watching each other jealously as to who is the most “modest”. This is not humility.

You can’t re-educate this mindset. The only answer is deportation.

Of course, by the time you get to my age, the damn things are probably an advantage!

Courage isn’t always the gift that we’re given when we learn about life. Ask the cowardly lion, he didn’t know he had courage until somebody told him that he did. Maybe she just needs to be told.

I don’t really care so long as the person does their job. The problem is we have too many people, burka or not, who come to work only to screw off on their phones for their entire shift while I’m the only one waiting on customers. It’s irritating.

And prayer breaks? Affecting production schedules? The yard work machines by Ahrens, had a high % of Muslims but too many prayer breaks, had them let go.
