Oh Mandy...

There was always a clue that Peter Mandelson was a wrong ‘un, after all wasn’t his nickname “The Prince of Darkness’? ” He got this nickname because of his reputation as a ruthless, political operator and media “spin doctor.” When he was elevated to the Peerage it was upgraded to “the Dark Lord”

Let’s also just remember that it was Gordon Brown who approved this life peerage in 2008, which makes current events all the more ironic!

Mandelson’s fall from grace seems near total following the further revelations in the weekend released Epstein Files.

I think I can sum it up to two images.

Now the double irony is that both these images may have been taken at the same time.

But then it got worse….

“Separately among the documents there are bank statements across 2003 and 2004 that appear to show $75,000 (£54.5k) was transferred to Mandelson from Epstein”

Mandelson said he couldn’t remember receiving such sums but showing his version of noblesse oblige he resigned from the Labour Party, having been a lifelong member.

But then things got worse…

The Metropolitan Police has launched a criminal investigation into Peter Mandelson over allegations of misconduct in public office. It comes after the former Labour minister and US ambassador was accused of passing market-sensitive government information to US financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Emails released by the US Department of Justice (DoJ) appear to show Lord Mandelson forwarded information to Epstein when he was business secretary under former Prime Minister Gordon Brown in 2009.

Mandelson then announced he was stepping down from the House of Lords but retaining his title as Lord.

But then things got worse…!

Starmer, in full panic mode, is now introducing emergency legislation through Parliament to strip Mandelson of his peerage. He will revert to plain Peter Mandelson.

Let’s cut to the chase.

Blair, Brown, Starmer - they all knew what a grifting snake Mandelson was. All these sudden protests of shock horror don’t fool anyone with an ounce of sense. They are ALL part of a big club and you and I are not in it, and never will be!

Will Mandelson end up swapping his role in the Lords for a place behind bars?

I hope so.
