Yes, we all *think* that we know that happened in the so-called Watergate Scandal. The official narrative goes something like;
"The scandal included a break-in at the Democratic National Committee (DNC) headquarters in the Watergate complex in Washington, D.C., on June 17, 1972, and subsequent cover-up by people who worked for or with the White House, and by Nixon himself. This cover up was exposed by intrepid reporter Bob Woodward and then the evil Nixon was removed from office”
We are told Justice prevailed. But it didn’t. In fact what happened was profoundly UNJUST.
For starters, Republican President Richard Nixon was a remarkably popular and powerful President, and that did not suit the Democrats or their CIA handlers. When Nixon was removed, the inept and unelected Gerard Ford was bundled in to replace him, and that led to the unholy mess of Jimmy Carter as President in 1977 to 1981. It was so “convenient” for vested interests that Nixon fell, just like it was “convenient” when JFK was assassinated by the CIA lone gunman.
To accept the offical story you also have to accept that Bob Woodward, then 29 years old newbie reporter, joined the Washington Post and suddenly got access to the number 2 source in the CIA. Do you really think things like that organically? It seems to me that Woodward was selected as a useful conduit for intelligance aimed at bringing down Nixon. And it worked. Just like it did it previously in November 1963.
The US Deep State is the swamp and it is embedded in every public and many private institutions. Richard Nixon became a victim to its insidious reach and malevolent power and Watergate stands exposed as a testament to the wickedness of the Swamp.
Nice conspiracy theory, shame it's total rubbish. The Republicans were wiretapping DNC phones as far back as 1968 and had been setting aside political donations to fund their illegal espionage efforts for five years before Watergate even broke. Several senior Republican law officers including a state deputy attorney general subsequently testified that they had been offered cash to take part in these illegal activities but had declined. All this is a matter of record.
And Deep Throat was an informant from the FBI, not the CIA. If you're confusing those two agencies in a story about Watergate you clearly know F-all about it.
