A campaign to have President Trump pardon Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer convicted in the death of George Floyd, has gained traction among some conservative figures, including Ben Shapiro of the Daily Wire.
Based on post-trial information that has become available it seems clear he should be set free.
That the information was not made available to the defense is suspicious in it's own right. I'm not sure Atticus Finch would have been able to cut through that level of deceit.
Pardon seems more merciful to the potential witnesses and jury given the inevitable hysteria that would be generated by the "anti's" (long list there).
