Well, first of all, may I wish all my Irish friends a very Happy St Patrick’s Day. That said, I think that St Patrick would absolutely HATE the annual drunken festival that is celebrated in his name today, March 17th!
St Patrick’s Day is my birthday and whilst attending a Catholic Convent for some years, even an all-English non-Catholic such as myself, enjoyed the festivities and day off schoolwork immensely!
Whilst in the Royal Navy, I had a Northern Irish Captain who insisted in a drop of Whiskey in the coffee on St Pat’s which rendered me a bit useless for much of the rest of the day.
Yes, I think St Patrick’s Day is a Good Thing and long may he continue to be celebrated!
Gemma wrote a piece in her own inimitable style. Us Proddys don't come off well in her own Saint Patricks article. But I appreciate her morals and honesty. This article sits better with me. Ha

The one and only. 😃
Celebrated by the English far more than St George’s day or any other day for that matter. In fact this year St Patrick’s Day started on Friday..
Yeah, it's like black history month, that seemed to be much of the year.. and Pride, or rather, Trans.. Very omnipresent in the calendar.

Which Gemma please?
