Dear David

The 7th Commandment says - Thou shalt not commit adultery.

Adultery here is a broad term covering all kinds of filthiness, including unmarried intimacy.

But God is good.

He doesn't just take a stick to beat us for our weakness.

He shows us His way.

He gives us the gift of marriage.

And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed. Genesis 2

Is it not obvious, that the unifying theme of all these sad accounts of men and women abusing each other, abusing themselves, and even abusing babies, is the filthiness of it all.

How could this possibly result in happiness, when it is so evidently unholy ?

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Galatians 6

Let brotherly love continue ...

Marriage is honourable ... and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. Hebrews 13

The Anglosphere (UK US Canada Australia NZ) has received more of God's blessing than any other part of the globe.

Yet we have turned our back on Him.

We deserve everything we are going to get.

Our only hope is to go home, close the door, and throw ourselves down on our faces before the Lord God Almighty and say GOD BE MERCIFUL TO ME THE SINNER.
