Well, the debate on the banning of non-stunned slaughter took place in the House of Commons yesterday. Just 3 out of 650 MPs signed the motion put forward by Rupert Lowe. I know one of the brave three who did so, congrats to Sammy Wilson of the DUP.

Here is Rupert Lowe’s full speech on the topic, give it a listen as it is humane, decent and something all should agree on.

But no one did.

As Rupert says

"All across the country, in abattoirs, we are allowing vile practices which would turn stomachs on any decent person. All in the name of religious exemption. No bolt to the brain, no stunning, no anesthetic, a blade. A deep, crushing cut across. The animal does not die instantly. It thrashes, it gasps, panics, feels everything. That's a minute of pure agony. I'm afraid I don't care. We’re all eating halal while blood pours from its body. No sedation, just raw terror and suffocation. As a farmer, I would rightly be prosecuted for treating our animals like that. The halal stun is a lower voltage. But in the abattoir, it's legal. And illegal under religious exemption. It's two-tier slaughter. Instead of an instant, painless death, these poor beings are being put through the most unimaginable pain. All in the name of religion."

Amen, Ban all this practise and to hell with who it offends. I don’t care.

But of course, that is NOT what the few MPs who even bothered to turn up said. Remarkably one (Muslim) MP compared the banning of Halal slaughter as comparable to the Holocaust!

“Will the member agree that this isn't about animal welfare? We once saw Nazi Germany put into place, into law, similar policies. Their justification then was animal welfare..."

Absolutely incredible. However at least he is honest about his support for barbaric animal husbandry. What’s worse is the HUNDREDS of MPs who understand only too well that Halal and other such practices are cruel but are just too scared to speak against it. The simp for Islam and are a pack of cowards, venal moral hypocrites.

I suspect of we in fact discussing the banning of the burqa they would also vote against it lest they offend their clientele.

VP JD Vance is right - the UK is on track to to become an Islamic country.
