The State Torture of Tommy Robinson

A few days ago, I brought you the welcome news that Tommy Robinson was to be released early from his 18 month prison sentence. Within 24 hours of that announcement came this news…

Tommy Robinson has been charged with harassment causing fear of violence against two journalists. He is accused of two counts of harassment causing fear of violence between 5 and 7 August last year. The 42-year-old will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 5 June, the Crown Prosecution Service said.

Let’s be clear - this is State sanctioned mental torture. They raise his hopes UP and then instantly DASH them. If he is found guilty of these new charges he *could* get a further custodial sentence which could run for years. Can you imagine the emotional turmoil he must be going through?

And if THAT were not enough, Tommy Robinson also faces pending terrorism charges.

Robinson was charged with one count of failing to provide the PIN to his mobile phone under Schedule 7 of the Terrorism Act 2000. This followed his detention by Kent Police where Schedule 7 allows officers to stop, question, and search individuals to determine if they are involved in terrorism-related activities. The charge stemmed from his alleged refusal to cooperate with a Schedule 7 examination, specifically by not providing access to his phone.

So THAT case is still pending. Robinson took the view that as a journalist he would protect his sources and NOT give his phone to the Police

Lawfare is being deployed to destroy Tommy Robinson and you don’t have to even like him to see the dangers of that. It shows just how malicious the British State can be towards those is designates as enemies of that State.
