I’m so sorry for that little bird. I too have buried a dead songbird, away from people. You do really feel the tragedy of life when a little bird dies. You will feel grief. Godspeed to you.

We had one in our garden a while back. Hung around me whilst I weeded, grabbing worms and bugs. No fear. Like.a Robin. Lovely

Thanks for sharing David. We love birds too and have rescued Starlings and Blackbirds, took a Seagull with a broken wing to the vet. We're all God's creatures.

Thank you Tosca. It was upsetting to me and I had to write the upset out. A little..

David you are a true writer. I am so sorry to know that a young bird lost its life so tragically. Window impact kills can be mitigated by putting up an image of an Owl. This is a flat image attached in the manner of an outdoor thermometer to a window casing. It is a good method and maybe a local advocacy group could lead the initiative. ❤️✝️

Thats sad David.

Just a thought.. This is from 5 years ago, bet the numbers are double that today. "Wind turbines are estimated to kill between 140,000 and 679,000 birds annually in the United States"

We had a small bird hit our glass patio door. I gently lifted it onto a piece of kitchen roll and set it on our rug at the open patio door. Similarly, it knocked itself out, but luckily came around after a minute or so. It stood up and did a whoopsie, then flew off out the patio.

That was a great result! I desperately hoped the little thrush would recover.

This choked me up as I love birds. Thank you for showing such compassion to this precious creature.

Thank you so much, it was emotional to write and I felt so bad for the little bird. I wanted as many people as possible to think on that little thrush as a nice memory.
