My experience regarding this article is as follows:

Jan. 19 2020 I traveled a couple of blocks to a very popular Asian restaurant in Thornhill Ontario Canada. Normally this restaurant had a lineup of waiting patrons. It was one of those Asian restaurants that held about 200 people and when I and my friend walk in we were accoustomed to most people looking at us because we were the only non asians around. Great food. This Fri. night there was no line and not one person in the restaurant. I asked the owner what was up - his reply "I don't know but come on in and have a meal." We did. We began chatting about the unknown pneumonia in China where people were dropping dead in the streets. At the end of the meal we heard someone in the kitchen hacking and coughing. We both thought - Ahh - oh no. It seemed to take the length of time of a meal to put all the pieces together. 6 days later I had all the classic symptoms. I called the hospital biut they wouldn't admit me because I hadn't come from Wuhan within the last 2 weeks. I suffered at home for many months surviving because of 24 grams of vitamin C per day spread out evenly across the day. If I stopped taking it the symptoms would increase. The worst was just before I started taking the C. My lower lungs heated up as did my heart. I now believe I was experiencing the cascading effect. This was stopped within 2 hours of the C.

The out take of this rambling story is that somehow all those normal patrons of the restaurant knew not to attend.

Somehow...

This may fit your narrative David but I don't see how. Perhaps you could explain it to me.
