Nobody can be that surprised at the news that the number of people claiming Universal Credit has exploded under Keir Starmer’s useless Labour government.
So Reeves jacks up Employer NI (not a tax rise mind you), essentially forcing employers to cut staff and forget about hiring students or work placements. Then Labour create a "training" scheme for the hospitality sector - creating yet more government payroll jobs to fill gaps in the hospitality market created by Reeves' budget. And what they fail to acknowledge is the reduction in people going out because of this recession they've created.
And there are guaranteed to be more joining that queue as pubs and restaurants close daily due to spiralling costs and people too poor to go out to socialise or eat in restaurants. Shops are closing weekly on the high streets and the only businesses that are actually staying open are mens barbers and nail bars, all owned and run by immigrants. The odd thing is that there are sometimes 7 barber shops in the same street yet they are always empty of clients but apparently making enough money to pay the high business rates and taxes. I will leave people to use their imagination as to where the money is coming from to keep these empty places open. The same with all of the nail bars, at least 2 on each parade of shops again hardly packed out with customers. We no longer make anything that I can think of in this country so industries and factories are all closing as they move abroad for cheaper outsourcing and manufacturing costs. So much for Rachel Reeves being on the side of industry and getting the country moving again. The only moving going on is businesses leaving the country.
The 4.17 million figure on non work-seeking claimants is striking when you put it against actual employment numbers. Policy incentives matter way more than people want to admit when it comes to labor partcipation. I've seen similar patterns emerge in other contexts where the gap between working and not working narrows too much finacially. The employer NI hike makes this worse by raising the cost side of hiring.
Majority of which is full benefits being handed out by Labour Government to the tens of thousands of illegals every year via DINGHYS. Then the so called "legal" group which is even bigger as they bring their families over also!!
STOP THAT and will save shed loads of money - though Labour would no doubt find other ways of spending the extra taxes on themselves, because nothing is done about them.
What happens when shtf and the UK is totally bankrupt? Which is likely the case now!
All courtesy of the tax payers who have no say in the matter, and people still work to be treated in such a manner, to hand their hard earned salaries and wages to the government who have nothing but contempt for them?!!

I’ve a friend who’s a posty.
In his late 50s he’s riddled with arthritis but can’t retire as the pension age moves further and further away.
Of course qualification for pension has to be put back as the country can’t afford it.
But migrants? That’s a different story.

As Forrest Gump would say - “Stupid is as stupid does”. The UK continues on its path to suicide of the country.
It is not suicide…..it is murder by Starmer and Reeves. The Bonnie and Clyde of the Labour/Fabian party.
suicidal empathy.

What happened to: "Get Britain working again"?
